La Course des Filles

La Course des Filles is a women-focused sporting and solidarity event held in Brives-Charensac, in Haute-Loire, Auvergne, France. Organized by the Office des Sports du Puy-en-Velay, it brings together women of different generations to walk or run in support of the fight against breast cancer. The event features a five-kilometre route along the Loire, with participants able to choose their own pace and take part on foot or running.

The initiative promotes physical activity and raises awareness of breast cancer prevention, sharing information about the potential health benefits of regular exercise. Funds raised are presented to the Ligue contre le cancer. Each year, the event also involves a community sponsor, or “marrain,” whose initiative helps support its solidarity message.
