Lactatiekundige Praktijk Ostara

Praktijk Ostara is the lactation consultancy of Simone Bakker-Hak, an IBCLC-certified lactation consultant and member of the Dutch Association of Lactation Consultants. Based in North Holland, she supports families in and around Purmerend, Beemster, Oosthuizen, Hoorn and Amsterdam-Noord. Her approach is personal and gentle, helping parents find a way to feed their baby that suits their family.

The practice offers information and guidance during pregnancy and after birth, as well as home visits where Simone observes a feeding and works with parents to make a plan. Support is also available by phone, WhatsApp or video call. Consultations address breastfeeding challenges such as pain, feeding difficulties and other concerns, and guidance is available when a baby is fed in ways other than directly at the breast. Practical Ostara also offers deep oscillation therapy at home.
