Lactation & Health is a breastfeeding support and lactation care practice serving families in Shreveport, Bossier City, and Northwest Louisiana. Led by Lauren Pou Stanley, a registered nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), it helps expecting and postpartum parents prepare for breastfeeding, address feeding difficulties, and build confidence in their feeding choices. Services include 90-minute prenatal consultations, postpartum feeding assessments with weighted feeds and infant oral assessments, follow-up visits, and guidance for pumping and returning to work.

In-home visits are available for select postpartum assessments and follow-ups, subject to location and an additional travel fee. The practice also offers individualized health coaching focused on nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep, and social support through weekly calls. Care addresses maternal mental health and nutrition alongside breastfeeding needs.

Lactation & Health supports families through education and personalized care, from prenatal planning and early feeding challenges to maintaining breastfeeding during work transitions and weaning.
