LADD

LADD is a Catalan association that defends the rights of people with intellectual disabilities. Its work is grounded in the rights recognized by the United Nations Convention, including equal treatment, inclusion and the opportunity to live an ordinary life with appropriate support. The association is made up of family members who volunteer and work together to advocate for their children, siblings and the wider community.

Rather than providing a commercial product range, LADD advances its mission through advocacy, information and projects. Its initiatives address the support people need in different areas of life, employment inclusion and funding for Special Employment Centres. The association also raises public awareness and engages with institutions on issues affecting people with intellectual disabilities. Its updates cover inclusive education, cognitive accessibility, qualifications and complaints submitted to Catalonia’s Ombudsman. Through its network of families, projects and public engagement, LADD works to make recognized rights practical realities and to foster a more inclusive society.
