La Diga Civile is an educational web portal dedicated to exploring the history of Emilia-Romagna in the face of political violence and terrorism. It serves as a valuable resource for understanding the turbulent events of the 1970s and 1980s in Italy, including significant attacks like the Bologna train station massacre and the Ustica disaster. The platform aims to foster historical awareness and memory preservation while encouraging civic engagement and ethical participation in democratic life.
La Diga Civile offers a wealth of resources, including informative articles, multimedia materials, testimonies, digital archives, and educational workshops. It highlights the unique "Emilian model," which represents the region’s sociopolitical and cultural strengths in combating extremism. The portal not only recounts the tragic past but also emphasizes the importance of reflection and learning to prevent the resurgence of such violence. Through its initiatives, La Diga Civile seeks to create a connective tissue between historical reconstruction and the promotion of virtuous societal models.
