Ladybugs

Copenhagen Ladybugs is a roller derby club based in Hvidovre, Denmark, offering opportunities for people of different ages and genders to learn and play the sport. The club has adult and junior teams and does not separate participants by gender, so members train together. Roller derby is a fast-paced contact sport played on quad roller skates around an oval track. Each team fields a jammer, who scores points by passing opposing blockers, while the other four players work to impede the opposing jammer using their bodies. The club invites newcomers to come and see a game or try the sport themselves.

Training takes place at several local venues, including Avedøre Idræts Center and Danborghallen, with sessions also listed at Nørregårdshallen and Tjørnehøjhallen. The schedule includes junior, adult, and mixed adult-and-junior practices, as well as core training. People interested in joining or learning more can contact the club by email at [email protected] or send a message through its Facebook page.
