Lasten Fysioterapia ry

Lasten Fysioterapia ry is a Finnish association that brings together physiotherapists interested in children’s physiotherapy. Founded in November 2011, it is a community member of Suomen Fysioterapeutit ry, the Finnish physiotherapy association. Its mission is to inspire professionals working in children’s physiotherapy to develop their expertise and build connections with colleagues. The association supports this work by sharing information, providing networking opportunities, and organizing varied professional training.

Its educational program includes courses and webinars on topics relevant to children’s rehabilitation, such as physiotherapy for children with cancer and specialized treatment approaches. The association also promotes evidence-based practice and contributes to public discussion on children’s rehabilitation, therapeutic services, and the interests of young clients. Through statements and collaboration with other professional organizations, it advocates for care that puts children’s best interests first.

Lasten Fysioterapia ry also shares professional updates and information about events, past and upcoming courses, and membership. Its stated values are expertise, quality, commitment, authenticity, and equality, with a vision of colleagues supporting one another and sharing the purpose and enjoyment of their work.
