Lágymányosi Spari

Lágymányosi Spari Egyesület is a sports association based at Kopaszi-gát in Budapest’s 11th district. With more than 65 years of experience, it offers water sports and community activities for children, adults, beginners and experienced participants. Its programs include kayak and canoe instruction for young starters, competitive opportunities, and recreational paddling for adults. Equipment, coaching and changing facilities are available for the adult hobby group, which can be booked for weekday sessions.

The association also welcomes beginners and experienced paddlers to its dragon boat team, which has been active on Lágymányosi Bay since 2018. Ten- and 20-person dragon boats, with a steersperson, can be hired for company events, team-building, school outings and group activities. Other offerings include SUP and a summer camp for children aged 9–14, combining water sports, games, crafts and meals. For land-based recreation, the association rents a lit artificial-turf football pitch with changing rooms and showers. Experienced specialist coaches support its sporting programs, bringing instruction, recreation and community together by the water.
