Lajka is a Ljubljana-based association dedicated to protecting animals and helping those in distress. Its work centers on animal welfare and the care of animals in its protection, including cats featured on its website. The association shares updates about these animals and provides information for people who have found an animal, helping visitors understand what to do next.

Lajka also invites the public to support its work through membership, donations, and contributions from a portion of personal income tax. Visitors can help by sending an SMS, sharing the association’s appeals, or purchasing Lajka T-shirts. The website offers news, a creative section, and a forum, alongside practical information about animal care and ways to get involved.

Based in Ljubljana, Lajka encourages community participation to help provide for the animals in its care. Its public notices also include invitations to association meetings and calls for action on animal-related issues, reflecting its broader commitment to improving protection for animals
