LA Johnny is a landscape architecture and consulting arborist firm led by John Burke, specializing in trees and the design of healthy urban forests. Drawing on experience as a landscape architect, consulting arborist, construction manager, senior estimator, and technical writer, John helps property owners and project teams make informed decisions about trees in built environments. The firm’s services include tree management, development and construction consulting, homeowner services, insurance claim support, and habitat and garden design. Its work can help clients navigate complex regulations for protected trees and building near them, assess trees, and plan for trees to be preserved or replaced during development.

LA Johnny’s projects include habitat gardens for residences and apartments, as well as pruning specifications for Monterey pines. The firm emphasizes that successful urban forestry takes more than planting trees: it requires careful planning and engineering. Client testimonials highlight John’s thorough, timely work, practical guidance, and ability to support projects from consultation through completion.
