Lakenvelder- en Vorwerkclub

The Dutch Lakenvelder and Vorwerk Poultry Specialty Club is an organization for people interested in keeping, breeding and learning about Lakenvelder and Vorwerk chickens. Founded in Zeist in 1980, the club brings together enthusiasts and breeders who share an interest in these two poultry breeds and their varieties, including bantams. Its website introduces each breed’s origins, history, characteristics and appearance, with photographs and practical information for visitors.

The club supports its community through membership, news updates and events, including an annual young birds day and seasonal gatherings. Prospective members can learn about joining, start with a trial membership advertised for €5, and find information on progressing to full membership. The site also provides frequently asked questions, breeder videos, a step-by-step photo series, newsletters and an online club shop. Visitors looking for eggs, chicks or chickens can find a dedicated inquiry section, while members have access to protected resources such as an interactive membership list and account services.
