Lake of Soft is a software development laboratory based in Kharkov, Ukraine. Their first product, Voice Communicator components for Delphi, proved to be a success, and since then, they have been continuously improving their offerings and expanding their functionality.

Recognizing the importance of real-time audio streaming in modern projects, Lake of Soft designed their components to give developers complete control over the streaming process while ensuring robustness and flexibility. In 2003, they released their Vibrant Communicator ActiveX (VCX) Library, which allowed programmers in various development environments, including C++, Visual Basic, and C#, to leverage the proven Delphi code.

In line with this spirit, they released the full sources of their VC components under the Apache 2.0 license in April 2018.
