Lakeside School Horgen & Küsnacht

Lakeside School is a non-profit, bilingual school serving students in the Zurich region. Combining established educational approaches with modern innovation, it aims to help each student reach their potential in a caring, close-knit community. The school offers a learning pathway from pre-kindergarten and kindergarten through primary school and bilingual upper-secondary programmes leading to the Swiss Matura. English and German are used as languages of instruction across subjects, with native-speaking teachers supporting students’ linguistic and cultural development.

Its educational approach combines the requirements of Switzerland’s Lehrplan 21 with elements from Anglo-Saxon curricula, preparing students for challenging further education. Alongside academic learning, the programme supports social and emotional growth and includes sport, music, drama, and creative and technical subjects. Lakeside also provides a full-day school, before- and after-school care, meals, extracurricular activities, holiday care, and a school bus service in Küsnacht. Families can choose between campuses in Horgen and Küsnacht.
