La Maison Onlus

La Maison is a nonprofit social promotion association based in Rome, Italy, dedicated to protecting the rights and health of people with disabilities. Guided by the principles of the United Nations Convention on disability and social marginalization, it works to encourage inclusion and participation, with particular attention to children and young people with disabilities or social difficulties and their families. Its support includes psychological assistance for individuals and families, with consultations provided by psychologists and psychotherapists, as well as information and community awareness initiatives promoting equity and acceptance of diversity.

The association offers a range of practical and creative workshops designed to support social connection, independence, personal expression, and skill development. Activities include gardening, natural cosmetics, theatre, cooking, music, body awareness, and socialization programs for adolescents and young adults. La Maison also develops projects and provides opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in shared activities. Community members can support its work through donations, including Italy’s 5x1000 tax contribution.
