La Manufacture
@lamanufacture.org

About La Manufacture
La Manufacture is a contemporary collective that has been built since its creation in 2001 through various collective dynamics. It is committed to exploring new forms of governance and has actively contributed to the expansion of the Festival Off through the development of large stages and extra-muros spaces that enhance the technicality of the theaters and offer diverse scenographies. La Manufacture has unveiled a dozen emerging artists who have subsequently been featured in the Avignon Festival.
The genres showcased are wide-ranging and interdisciplinary, including theater, dance, performance, music, and site-specific projects. In addition to the annual festival, La Manufacture engages in participatory and inclusive territorial projects with the local residents in three neighborhoods of Avignon and rural areas such as Apt, Sault, and the Albion Plateau. These projects, most of which take place in specific locations associated with local heritage, aim to foster a sense of community and connection.
La Manufacture also participates in two projects funded by Europe Créative: Centriphery, focusing on artist residencies in the outskirts of European cities, and Real-In, exploring immersive collective experiences without individual headsets. The festival's programming is managed by a tight-knit team led by Pascal Keiser, alongside Emilie Audren, Mael Le Goff, and Agathe Jean
