LambdaValencia

Lambda is a nonprofit association in Valencia, Spain, dedicated to defending the rights and wellbeing of LGTBI+ people and promoting equality regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or family diversity. Founded on 25 September 1986 in response to legal discrimination and social marginalisation, the organisation works to challenge prejudice and advance full legal and social equality.

Lambda offers practical support and information through Orienta, an integrated service providing social, psychological and legal guidance to LGTBI+ people, their families and people close to them. It also advises professionals seeking specialist guidance. Its services include a free, anonymous and confidential rapid HIV test using oral fluid, alongside sexual health support and work to combat HIV-related stigma.

The association provides educational resources on sexual, family and gender diversity for use at home and in schools, and runs groups and activities for young people, adolescents, families, older adults and trans people, among others. Lambda also organises events, awareness campaigns and community initiatives, and invites people to participate as volunteers or members.
