Lamont Meyers Foundation

The Lamont Meyers Foundation is a Sacramento-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to prevent drug overdoses and poisoning through education, community support, and advocacy. Inspired by the loss of Lamont Meyers to an accidental fentanyl overdose, the foundation aims to help individuals and families make informed decisions and access practical resources. Its work focuses on drug awareness and prevention, recovery treatment, and making Narcan kits accessible.

The foundation also promotes mental and emotional well-being, compassion, inclusion, and collaboration, bringing community members and organizations together to address substance-related challenges. Its resources include an essential guide offering strategies to educate and protect people of all ages from drug abuse, along with educational materials and opportunities to volunteer, donate, and participate in events. The organization hosts initiatives such as the Lamont Meyers Foundation 5K Walk/Run and a health and wellness fair, and shares updates through its blog, podcast presence, and newsletter.
