Elevage de Landas is a French horse-breeding operation focused on producing Arabian endurance horses. Founded in 1989 in Rousson, in the foothills of the Cévennes, by Alain Roux, an international FEI judge, and Irène Thellung, the farm has developed its breeding program around the needs of endurance riding. Rather than relying on bloodlines alone, it uses stallions and broodmares of varied origins, with emphasis on the horses’ rearing, environment and education to prepare them for endurance work.
In 2001, Elevage de Landas moved to La Grange Haute near Lake Salagou, outside Clermont-l’Hérault, providing its horses with more space to roam. The farm presents its breeding mares, offspring, performance information and horses available for sale, and shares news about its activities. Visitors can contact the operation by telephone or through its website.
Elevage de Landas brings together breeding and practical preparation, with the aim of developing horses suited to the demands of endurance riding
