Lanes Vets

Lanes Vets is an independent, staff-owned veterinary group serving North Lancashire through four small-animal surgeries in Garstang, Cottam, Lancaster and Poulton. Formed in 2007 when two local practices joined forces, the group is now run by people who work in its clinics. Its team of around 100 vets, nurses, receptionists and support staff provides evidence-based care, with an emphasis on familiar faces, clear estimates and long-term relationships with clients.

Each branch offers fully equipped facilities, step-free access and free onsite parking. Garstang also provides inpatient care and the group’s own 24-hour emergency service, staffed by Lanes vets and nurses. Services include routine health checks, vaccinations and preventive parasite treatment, as well as in-house dental, cardiology, dermatology, orthopaedic, soft-tissue and imaging care. Visiting specialists support referrals, helping many pets receive advanced treatment within Lanes. The Pet Health Plan spreads preventive-care costs into monthly payments and includes discounts on many other treatments. Lanes also plans to open a Garstang referral suite with a CT scanner in late 2026.
