Langelands Sti-venner is an independent, nonprofit association founded in February 2019 to support outdoor recreation and develop walking opportunities on Langeland. Its members enjoy exploring nature, planning trips and working together to create and improve local trails. The association also reports storm damage and other problems affecting paths to the parties responsible for their upkeep.
The group publishes practical resources for visitors, including walking guides and maps. Its guide to walking around Langeland’s coastline divides the 139-kilometre route into ten stages, with maps and descriptions of experiences along the way. It has also produced a fold-out map featuring 29 walking routes across Langeland, Strynø and Siø, with trail information and suggestions for places to stay. Some materials are available to download, while printed publications can be purchased through local outlets.
Langelands Sti-venner welcomes people interested in developing trails, supporting outdoor projects or meeting fellow nature enthusiasts. Members can benefit from guidance with project development, help with funding applications and a network for sharing ideas.
