Langiltegård

Langiltegaard is an organic farm in Hørsholm, Denmark, combining farming, animal care and a strong commitment to nature. Its stated goal is to create a refuge where biodiversity and wildlife can thrive in an area affected by human activity and hunting pressure. The farm offers horse boarding in a calm, small-scale setting, using year-round group turnout and free access to a large open stable and paddock. It also breeds Knabstrupper horses, focusing on historic bloodlines and on producing friendly, durable horses with strong physical abilities.

Langiltegaard sells sustainably sourced firewood, much of it from naturally fallen trees, and says it plants more trees than it harvests. Its hay and straw include small, easy-to-handle bales; the organic hay is described as free of poisonous plants and varied in its plant composition. The farm is also developing a small veterinary clinic under a concept intended to make veterinary care affordable. In addition, it has three residential and office rental units, which are currently all leased.
