la Nisada

La Périgouse is a small residential care and support facility in Sainte-Enimie, Lozère, managed by the La Nisada association. Set in a rural hamlet on the Causse de Sauveterre in Occitanie, it provides long-term accommodation for up to nine children, adolescents and young adults aged 7 to 21 who face social or family difficulties. Young people are referred through France’s child welfare services, either by court order or administrative placement.

The facility’s approach centres on personalised, continuous support and shared everyday life. Staff use practical routines such as preparing meals, shopping and household tasks to encourage learning, independence and respectful coexistence. An adjoining organic agricultural operation, including horse breeding, offers an educational setting, with equestrian activities supervised by a riding instructor. The team also supports young people in returning to school, pursuing vocational training and preparing for employment and independent living. Located in a quiet countryside setting while remaining connected to schools, healthcare and community services, La Périgouse aims to provide a structured, supportive environment that respects each young person and helps them build confidence and autonomy.
