Svenska LantChips grundades år 1991 i Ed, Dalsland av familjen Arnegård-Hansen. Ursprungstanken var att införa ett mer hantverksmässigt tillverkat chips på den svenska marknaden med fokus på lanthandeln, därav namnet LantChips.
