Latvijas Platforma attīstības sadarbībai (LAPAS) is a national-level platform that brings together non-governmental organizations to work towards sustainable global development. Established on August 12, 2004, LAPAS is now the Secretariat of the National Intersectoral Coalition for Sustainable Development Goals since October 31, 2019. Our vision is to create a safer and more sustainable world through mutual cooperation and active engagement.

In a world marked by ongoing global crises, the role of individual responsibility, community resilience, and civic society organizations' involvement is crucial. LAPAS serves as a development platform that connects individuals, communities, and organizations across various sectors to foster resilient and sustainable development. Operating at local, national, and global levels, LAPAS strengthens community security through professional support and positive experiences at the local level.

Nationally, we recognize and represent people's interests in sustainable development by promoting intersectoral collaboration with government, parliament, municipalities, private and academic sectors, and other civil society organizations. Globally, we represent national interests in coordinating balanced policies, sharing knowledge and experiences with other countries, and participating in the work of international organizations.
