Lapid Leaders Africa exists to activate leaders who take responsibility for the present and the future. For over a decade, we have worked at the intersection of leadership, purpose, and systems — walking with leaders at moments of transition, tension, and reinvention, and helping them move from clarity to courageous action. We believe leadership is not just about skills or titles. It is about who you become, the choices you make, and the systems you help shape — now, and for the generations that follow. Our work began with young leaders — and over time, it has grown to include mid-career professionals, founders, public servants, and executives who sense they have outgrown their current season and are ready to design what comes next. To date, more than 1,600 leaders have gone through Lapid programs. 89% transition into meaningful work or ventures within six months, and many now lead teams, institutions, and initiatives across Kenya and beyond. In 2024, we launched the Top Purpose-Driven Leaders Awards — recognising leaders across governance, enterprise, education, technology, media, and civic life who demonstrate that leadership excellence and service to the common good can, and must, coexist. Lapid Leaders Africa is led by award-recognised practitioners with deep experience across corporate, governance, and social transformation spaces. Our work has been recognised by institutions including the Obama Foundation, Africa Leadership Institute, and the Gratitude Network. At the heart of our work is a simple idea we call Under the Baobab — a shared space for reflection, responsibility, and intergenerational leadership. Under the Baobab, we gather leaders who refuse to drift. Leaders who choose responsibility over applause. Leaders committed to building institutions, expanding opportunity, and stewarding the next chapter — with intention.

Additionally, their exciting Digital Apprenticeship program embeds high-capacity digital apprentices to work with small businesses, helping them build a strong digital presence.
