Lara's Mahjong Edit

Lara’s Mahjong Edit is an American mahjong education and shopping brand founded by instructor, content creator, and confidence coach Lara Orndorff. Its aim is to make the game clear, approachable, and enjoyable, helping players understand the reasoning behind their decisions rather than relying on memorization. The site offers beginner instruction, self-paced digital guides, free learning resources, and live Zoom classes covering topics such as the Charleston, the National Mah Jongg League card, and Joker rules. Players can also find resources for the 2026 card, including strategy guidance and a free introductory guide.

For ongoing learning and connection, the Confidence Club provides members with strategy resources, challenges, live support, and a community. Teachers can join the Teacher Edit for professional resources related to curriculum, marketing, and student retention, or explore classes and tools for starting or developing a teaching practice. The shop features Lara’s curated product recommendations, specialty-brand favorites, practice tools, and discount codes.
