L'Arche Canada

L’Arche Canada is a national organization that supports communities of inclusion and belonging across the country. Its mission is to create welcoming places where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life, work, learn, and grow together. L’Arche emphasizes the contributions, leadership, and gifts of people with intellectual disabilities, showing how inclusive communities can become more just, caring, and vibrant.

The organization empowers 30 communities in nine provinces by sharing knowledge, services, and resources, and by working with partners across sectors. These communities provide accessible, inclusive housing through 110 homes and apartments, as well as a wide range of programs for more than 900 participants. Activities include visual and performing arts, crafts, music, supported employment, social enterprise initiatives, and recreation. L’Arche Canada also advances inclusion through advocacy, resources, and work on accessible housing and federal financial benefits. It offers opportunities to work and volunteer, and welcomes donations to support its communities. Through local, national, and international connections, L’Arche Canada helps build lasting relationships and a greater sense of belonging.
