L’Arche Comunità l’Arcobaleno is a social enterprise and inclusive community based in Quarto Inferiore, near Bologna. Its approach begins with each person’s individual story and identity, recognizing them as a whole person rather than defining them by disability or abilities. The organization offers community services and runs a Polifunctional Centre for Complex Communication Needs, including resources related to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Its activities and projects focus on accessibility, inclusion and opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. These include accessible games, tandem cycling, sports participation and initiatives exploring relationships, intimacy and sexuality. The organization also develops European projects, provides AAC library resources, and offers ways to volunteer and support its work.
Through events, educational activities and community initiatives, L’Arche Comunità l’Arcobaleno encourages people to connect, learn from one another and take part in inclusive experiences. Its website shares project updates, news and opportunities to contribute to the community.
