Larksong Preschool is a nature-based, Waldorf-inspired early childhood program operating in residential homes in South Minneapolis. It offers mixed-age toddler and preschool care for children ages 2 to 6, along with summer camp for children ages 2 to 10. Across its programs, Larksong centers children’s connection with the natural world through daily outdoor play, gardening, seasonal rhythms, and opportunities to explore nature.

The preschool aims to provide warm, home-like environments shaped by rhythm, creative play, meaningful work, and caring relationships. Its teachers are experienced childcare providers with foundations in Waldorf and LifeWays early childhood education. Families interested in enrolling can arrange a visit or tour, submit an application, and proceed with enrollment. The website also provides information about locations, daily and weekly routines, summer programs, rates and fees, and forms for enrolled children. Larksong’s approach combines nature, play, and predictable rhythms to support young children in a welcoming early learning setting.
