Lar Luís Soares de Sousa is a private social solidarity institution (IPSS) based in Ponta Delgada, on the island of São Miguel in the Azores. Serving older people since 1876, it supports their wellbeing, dignity and fundamental rights, with the aim of enabling them to participate fully in community life throughout their later years. Its services are available to people who need support at home as well as those who require residential care.

The institution offers residential accommodation for older people, including assisted residential care, and a home-support service. It also operates a bank of assistive products to help meet practical support needs and runs the Novos Idosos programme. Through these social responses, Lar Luís Soares de Sousa provides a range of options for older people and their families. The organisation also invites people to become members and contribute to its work in solidarity with those who need assistance. Located on Rua Lar Luís Soares de Sousa in Ponta Delgada, it can be contacted by telephone or email.
