At Larvik-Shipping, we are dedicated to promoting safe and efficient transportation of liquefied CO2. As a leader in the industry, we have recently partnered with Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) to study and develop the necessary infrastructure for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects.

Through our collaboration with PETRONAS, we will focus on studying the transportation of liquefied CO2 within the Asia Pacific and Oceania region. Our role includes examining the specifications of liquefied CO2 tankers to establish the most optimal means of ocean transport for captured CO2. Moreover, we are proud to bring our expertise in the safe transportation of CO2, developed over more than 30 years, to enhance these efforts.

Effective transportation of liquefied CO2 is essential in connecting capture sites with storage or usage sites, thereby maximizing the efficiency of the CCUS value chain. By facilitating the transport of CO2, we strive to contribute to the development of a low-carbon and decarbonization society, aligning with our commitment to achieving net zero GHG emissions by 2050.
