Laskuvarjotoimikunta

Laskuvarjotoimikunta (LT) is the national expert body for skydiving in Finland and operates under the Finnish Aeronautical Association (Suomen Ilmailuliitto ry). It represents Finnish skydivers and parachuting clubs, supports cooperation across the sport, and works to raise skydiving’s visibility in Finland. Its remit covers equipment, competitions, jump safety, training, and parachuting operations.

The organisation provides information and resources for clubs, instructors, pilots, and individual jumpers. Its website offers training and safety materials, instructor course information, guidance for independent skydivers, equipment resources, competition information, records, statistics, and useful links. It also shares safety reporting and application resources, including information on licences and qualifications. LT helps connect people interested in skydiving with member clubs across Finland, where they can learn about getting involved.

The committee also organises and reports on seminars, meetings, and other events for club representatives and sport participants. Through expert guidance, shared materials, and national representation, LT helps support the development and safe practice of Finnish skydiving.
