LASRA, the Leather & Shoe Research Association of New Zealand Inc., is an independent research association based in Palmerston North, New Zealand. It specialises in leather, hides, skins and collagen-based materials, bringing scientific research together with practical industry experience to address processing challenges and explore opportunities for natural materials.
The organisation offers applied research and innovation focused on industry needs, including sustainable processing, new materials and emerging applications. Its analytical testing services include independent chemical, physical and other specialist testing for manufacturers, researchers and industry clients.
