Louisiana State Parks, operated by the Louisiana Office of State Parks, is inviting entrepreneurs to bring their business ideas to the parks through public-private partnerships. The aim is to enhance visitor experiences and generate additional revenue for the state parks system. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is now open, offering opportunities in all state parks.
Projects can range from infrastructure and building construction, such as cabins, pavilions, and nature centers, to road repaving and RV campground upgrades with full sewer hookups. There are also opportunities for concessions, boat rentals, bicycle rentals, and agritourism activities. The goal is to provide first-class services, amenities, and activities to attract new visitors and ensure the satisfaction of current ones.
All proposals must align with the core principles of Louisiana State Parks, which include preserving natural areas, offering recreational use of natural resources, portraying plant and animal life, preserving historic sites, and supporting outdoor recreation development. Prospective firms or individuals interested in submitting proposals should carefully review the RFP for mandatory information and submission details. The submission deadline is 10 a.
