Last Post Association is an independent, voluntary, and non-profit-making organization based in Ieper. Since its founding in 1928, the association has been responsible for organizing the daily Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate Memorial in Ieper, Belgium. This poignant act of homage is a tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom during the Great War of 1914-1918.

The Last Post Ceremony is a powerful tradition that has evolved over time to include not only the fallen soldiers of the British Commonwealth but also the comrades-in-arms from Belgium, France, and other allied nations. The buglers of the association, who are all members of the local volunteer fire brigade, perform the bugle call that traditionally marked the end of the day's labors and the onset of the night's rest in the British Army. Today, it symbolizes a final farewell to those who have passed away and serves as a reminder of the lasting debt of gratitude we owe to these brave men.
