About LatAm Journalism Review
Welcome to LatAm Journalism Review, a trilingual digital magazine published by the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas at Austin’s Moody College of Communication. Established in 2002, the Knight Center is an outreach program aimed at providing professional training and capacity building to journalists in Latin America and the Caribbean. Over the years, it has expanded its reach globally through its online courses, reaching students in 200 countries and territories.
The magazine serves as a publication of record for journalism and press freedom in Latin America and the Caribbean, offering in-depth articles and features. In addition, the News Monitor section provides a compilation of headlines and summaries translated into English, Spanish, and Portuguese. LatAm Journalism Review also produces a weekly newsletter summarizing the original articles and the main headlines related to journalism and press freedom in the region.
By sharing knowledge and fostering capacity building, the Knight Center aims to support free and independent journalism, contributing to the development of a democratic society. Sign up for our newsletter and join thousands of subscribers who receive the LatAm Journalism Review Newsletter every Thursday
