The Latino Pilots Association (LPA) was founded in 2015 by a group of friends who noticed the absence of a professional pilot organization representing the Latino community while attending Jacksonville University in Florida. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, LPA is committed to inspiring, developing, and supporting the Latin aerospace and aviation communities. Their mission is to eliminate socio-economic barriers through representation, financial support, education, and mentorship.

LPA strives to lead the way in a professional and respectful manner, inspiring individuals to transcend their ordinary experiences and limitations. They give back to the community by providing scholarships and more affordable access to aerospace and aviation careers. Mentorship is at the core of their purpose, ensuring that Latin individuals know they are not alone in facing day-to-day challenges and that they matter.

LPA also believes in volunteering to share their passion and love for their work with others. Through outreach and advocacy efforts, LPA aims to spread awareness and ensure a pipeline of career opportunities in the aerospace and aviation sectors for future generations of Latin youth.
