About LATNEM
LATNEM Peer Support is a dedicated organization focused on supporting mothers and birthing individuals with their mental health journeys, especially in the aftermath of traumatic births. Led by passionate advocates like Gill Skene, the Chair and a Maternal Mental Health Alliance Champion, LATNEM offers a platform for real connections and conversations. Members of the team, including Vice Chair Linsey Singers, emphasize the importance of communal support in tackling the stigma surrounding maternal mental health issues.
The organization provides peer support groups, ensuring that participants have a safe space to express their feelings and share experiences. LATNEM is committed to breaking barriers by offering various courses on perinatal mental health, suicide prevention, and child protection, equipping supporters with the necessary skills to aid others effectively.
