Latvian Eats

Latvian Eats is a vibrant online community and recipe collection dedicated to the comforting flavors of Latvian cuisine. Created by Liva, a Latvian expatriate living in Australia, the site aims to bridge the gap between traditional Latvian fare and the accessible cooking methods suitable for anyone. By showcasing a diverse array of recipes, from the beloved pork and potatoes to modern interpretive dishes, Latvian Eats honors both time-honored meals and those that have been adapted over the years.

This project encourages participation from Latvians and their descendants around the world, inviting them to share their family recipes and culinary stories. The collection emphasizes the value of local ingredients and traditional techniques, offering insights into culinary practices that celebrate Latvian culture. Whether you're rediscovering nostalgic flavors or exploring Latvian cuisine for the first time, Latvian Eats provides an inviting space to connect with food memories and create new ones. Join the community and embark on a delicious journey through Latvia's rich gastronomic heritage.
