Lauffieber-Schaumburg

Lauffieber-Schaumburg is a running initiative offering marathon and ultramarathon events in the scenic Schaumburg region of Germany, with routes focused on the Bückeberg and Steinhuder Meer. Guided by the motto “Running is the best medicine,” it welcomes people who enjoy running, jogging, trail running or hiking in the outdoors. Routes vary in character, from flat asphalt paths beside the water to narrow tracks through fields and meadows, forest paths and steep trails through natural landscapes.

The listed marathons are explicitly not competitive events and are not eligible for official best-time rankings. Instead, they provide an opportunity to complete a recognised marathon as an individual health and training activity, alone or with others, in accordance with the counting rules of the 100 Marathon Club Deutschland. Lauffieber-Schaumburg publishes event announcements, including recurring runs such as the Steinhuder Meer Marathon and Sachsenhagen Marathon. Participants can check the website for current event details and choose an outing suited to their interests and preferred terrain.
