Union Audax Ibericos

La Unión de Audax Ibéricos (LUAI) is a non-profit association founded in 2008 to promote long-distance cycle touring and the Audax tradition. Inspired by the Union des Audax Français, it provides a meeting point for riders interested in endurance cycling and organizes events that combine physical challenge, route exploration and self-reliance.

Its programme includes Audax brevets of 200, 300, 400 and 600 kilometres, as well as Randonneur events and themed rides. Signature challenges include the 620-kilometre Super Randonnée LUAI Grediana, with around 10,000 metres of climbing, and Madrid–Gijón–Madrid, a 1,200-kilometre ride with a 90-hour time limit, held every four years. Other events include Audax Xacobeo, Audax Al Andalus, the Easter brevet and the Ruta de la Plata.

LUAI also shares event calendars, participation information, rules, news, articles and ride accounts through its website and blog. Its activities are designed for cyclists seeking demanding long-distance journeys and the distinctive experience of Audax riding.
