Lavanderko was founded in 2010 as a small agricultural experiment by two, tired sailors after long voyages. Seeking its place under the sun, it settled on a small sunny hill of the Danube peninsula, in the eastern part of Croatia, close by European cycling route Euro Vela 6. As a lover of the fertile land of the Slavonia region, tame orchards, forests, and the river, step forward was done as a return to nature through one powerful, and thus simple plant such as Lavendula x Intermedia (Croatian Budrovka). The first plot of 1000 herbs was planted and later harvested, without the use of modern agricultural machinery, with spirited help of family and friends. Learning from its own mistakes and hard labor Lavanderko has grown and today it spreads over 5 acres, with approximately 10,000 self-grown Budrovka bushes perched on a slope between orchards and acacias. From 2020, Lavanderko will embark on an adventure with the production of essential oil, which has been proven to have antifungal, antibacterial, and analgetic effects on human health. Lavanderko has passed through the "school of life" and knows itself: guided by the principles of conservation of natural resources and natural balance, strives for ecologically clean, profitable, ethically acceptable, and socially just agricultural production. Lavanderko is ready to step further into new adventures and is not afraid because its pure in heart, and he is accompanied by natural forces and laws...
