Law-Free Bison

Law-Free Bison, LLC offers bison hunting on a ranch near Ekalaka, Montana, at the base of the Chalk Buttes. The property’s pine forests, hardwood draws, badlands, and grass prairie provide a scenic setting for hunts in a quiet, off-grid area. The ranch describes its bison as free-range, grass-fed, all-natural, and raised without antibiotics, hormones, or insecticides. Purchased from Crazy Woman Bison Ranch in November 2023, Law-Free Bison is building on the site’s bison-hunting operation.

Hunt options include yearling heifers, yearling bulls, mature cows, and two- to three-year-old bulls, with prices listed for the 2026 season. The ranch provides estimated animal weights and packaged meat yields to help hunters choose. Reservations require a non-refundable deposit, with the balance due in cash on arrival. Skinner services can be arranged for an additional fee; hunters are responsible for processing, taxidermy, tanning, and accommodations. Law-Free Bison also offers reservation forms, directions, hunter resources, and assistance by phone or email.
