Layback is a boutique surf hotel and hostel situated in the heart of Weligama, Sri Lanka. Our vision since opening our doors in 2017 has been to provide a friendly, chilled, and creative space for like-minded travelers. We offer a range of accommodation options, including private rooms and dorms, designed with the utmost comfort and style in mind.
As surfers and travelers ourselves, we understand the importance of a good night's sleep and communal spaces for socializing and cooking. At Layback, we aim to create a seamless blend of local Weligama life and a relaxing retreat just moments away from the beach. Our founder, Thilina, is a passionate surfer and instructor who grew up in Weligama, and Linda, originally from the Netherlands, fell in love with the country and decided to call Weligama home.
