About Lukluk Community Association for Development
Lukluk Community Association for Development (LCAD) is a South Sudanese humanitarian and development organization established in 2009 and formally registered with state and national authorities. Bringing together experienced young people from communities across the country, LCAD works to strengthen peopleβs capacity to pursue sustainable peace and development and improve access to basic services. The organization advocates for the rights of children, women, and other community members, with a focus on reducing hunger and poverty and supporting a future free from violence.
LCAD provides assistance to vulnerable people, including refugees, displaced families, flood-affected communities, children, women, and older people. Its activities include emergency relief, clean water and shelter support, resettlement assistance, language education, and community integration. The organization also delivers nutrition programs and livelihood support, such as agricultural inputs, practical farming training, and vegetable-growing demonstrations. Past work has included connecting water systems to departments at Kuajok State Hospital. Through projects and partnerships, including initiatives funded by FAO and UNMISS, LCAD aims to help communities build resilience and improve their quality of life.
