About Agencija lokalne demokratije Mostar
Agencija lokalne demokratije Mostar (ALD Mostar) is a local registered non-profit NGO based in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since its establishment in November 2004, ALD Mostar has been working in collaboration with partners and the European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA) to promote the development of the local community and its involvement in regional processes. With a focus on creating an active citizenship and accountable local governance, ALD Mostar is dedicated to building a modern democratic society.
Through various activities and projects, they aim to improve the standard of living for all members of society and bring about tangible changes in the community. Their work encompasses a wide range of areas, including democracy, economy, EU integration, cultural heritage, interethnic dialogue, migration, and youth. ALD Mostar is part of the Balkan Network for Local Democracy, which advocates for citizen participation, democratic governance, local development, and collaboration between civil society organizations and local governments in the Western Balkans region.
To enhance cultural expression and architecture, they have established the ADA Center in Mostar as an independent platform for citizens to engage with art and urban spaces outside of theoretical frameworks. Additionally, they have initiated the IZBORI se za Mostar platform, aiming to restore one of the fundamental civic rights for the citizens of Mostar – the right to vote and be elected. For those interested in partnerships, they offer various forms to collaborate.
Through their dedication to local democracy, ALD Mostar strives to create a vibrant and participatory society. Contact them at Fra Ambre Miletića 30, 88000 Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, or reach out via phone (+387 36 333-830) or email (ldamostar@aldaintranet. org)
