Le Chat Potier is an artisanal ceramics studio in Marseille, located in the Saint-Barnabé area of the city’s 12th arrondissement. Founded from a passion for clay and cats, the atelier brings together handmade pottery, creative learning and an appreciation for the beauty of the Mediterranean city. Its work includes eco-conscious ceramic creations, with collections such as Blanc et Lin, Bleus de Mer and Au grès des saveurs. Customers can browse bowls, mugs, coffee cups, plates, salad bowls and other pieces for the table, and purchase pottery directly.
The studio also offers weekly pottery classes for adults throughout the year, excluding school holidays, as well as private lessons. Classes take place at the atelier and are available to book. For gifts and special occasions, Le Chat Potier offers pottery and class gift options, and hosts events including hen parties, birthdays and celebrations. Led by ceramicist Nathalie Desbief, the atelier welcomes visitors interested in discovering pottery, taking a class or finding a distinctive handmade piece.
