Leadership Kitsap is a brand that fosters and empowers educated, prepared, and engaged community leaders. Founded in 1993 by the Kitsap Chambers of Commerce and the United Way of Kitsap County, Leadership Kitsap has since graduated 660 servant leaders into the community and developed 114 community service projects throughout the county. The brand's primary goals are to assist emerging leaders in business, government, and the community to expand their skills and commitment to voluntary civic responsibility, provide an understanding of major public policy issues, enhance communication among leaders from diverse backgrounds, and facilitate access between emerging and established leaders.

Through the 10-month signature program, Leadership Kitsap produces alumni who are geographically, racially, and professionally diverse and committed to civic volunteerism. The curriculum follows the Positive Leadership model, which focuses on developing and enhancing seven core leadership capacities. The program also includes retreats, challenge days, and community projects to provide practical leadership experiences.
