Lead The Tale creates personalized animated stories in which children become the heroes of their own films. Families choose from five adventures, including a treasure hunt, a Christmas tale, a Halloween mystery, a cloud-garden dream, and a mermaid story. Each film lasts about 90 seconds, is narrated, and begins with the child’s name on the title card.

To make a film, customers select a story and visual style, then provide one to three photos and a brief description of the child’s clothing. Lead The Tale creates an illustrated character for the family to review, with options that include soft 3D animation, layered paper cut-outs, origami, and hand-drawn cartoon styles, depending on the story. Families can also personalize story details, such as a favorite toy, a bedtime treasure, or a setting like the beach, park, or playground. Some adventures can include a friend, and the Halloween story accommodates up to three heroes.
