Lead the Way is a brand dedicated to supporting individuals with learning disabilities and their families. They offer comprehensive 1:1 information and advice on various topics related to learning disabilities, ensuring individuals have access to the resources they need. Additionally, Lead the Way can connect individuals to local and national support services, providing a robust network of assistance.
Lead the Way goes beyond information provision and offers opportunities for individuals to get involved in health and wellbeing activities through their groups and events. In partnership with the Carer's Wellbeing Service in Calderdale, Lead the Way hosts a monthly Carer Support Group.
This group allows carers to connect with others who have similar experiences and offers a platform for sharing helpful information and participating in various wellbeing activities. Furthermore, Lead the Way co-facilitates the Calderdale Learning Disabilities Partnership Board, ensuring that individuals and their families have a voice and are well-informed about relevant projects and initiatives. Lead the Way also offers volunteer opportunities for individuals who wish to contribute to their valuable services.
